Hourly Sign Language Interpreter (Hourly Interpreter) Reposted Chico
Under general supervision, the Hourly Interpreter provides ASL interpreting services to facilitate communication most often in a classroom or related instructional settings and activities for persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Assignments may involve technical or specialized subject matter and vocabulary. Individual assignments may vary based on the specific skills of the interpreter and the needs of the students or other consumers. More difficult tasks may involve interpreting technical or specialized subject matter and vocabulary, which require using specialized signs, accommodating consumer request for varied language preferences, and interpreting fast spoken material. Specific complexity and skill factors include type of interpreting or communication system needed, difficulty or unique nature of the subject matter and vocabulary, speed of interpreting required, and number of deaf or hard-of-hearing consumers served simultaneously.

Director of Philanthropy (Administrator II) Chico
The Director of Philanthropy reports directly to the Senior Director of Philanthropy is responsible for planning and implementing individual, multi-year, major gift fund-raising efforts for the University. The fundamental responsibility of this position is major gift fundraising including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies in support of major/capital gifts ($25,000 or more) and secondly in support of annual leadership gifts of $1,500 or more. The successful candidate will be a hands-on major gift officer with demonstrated fund-raising experience and capable of handling a portfolio of 150 donors and prospects. While providing front-line fund-raising leadership Director of Philanthropy is expected to work in close collaboration with other Development Officers and with central advancement staff in Prospect Research, Scholarships, Planned Giving, and the Annual Fund. This position is expected to secure $1 million in annual gift revenue for the University through a combination of cash, pledge commitments, gift-in-kind, and planned gifts.
Senior Assistant Tenure-Track Librarian for the College of Engineering and Library Makerspace Chico
The Meriam Library at California State University (CSU), Chico is seeking a Librarian for the College of Engineering and Library Makerspace (Senior Assistant Librarian Rank). California State University, Chico is a comprehensive and residential public university, holding Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) designation. Chico State operates as part of the 23-campus CSU system, which educates the most ethnically, economically, and academically diverse student body in the nation. The University enrolls over 14,000 students, with over half identifying as first-generation college students. The Engineering and Library Makerspace Librarian will focus on the research needs of the diverse College of Engineering, encompassing Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Mechatronic Engineering as well as Robotics, Computer Science, Construction Management, Concrete Management, and Computer Information Systems. The College has three graduate programs and one of four Concrete Industry Management programs in the country. This position will also be an integral part of the Meriam Library Makerspace, housed in the Innovation Lab in the library, working to engage and support faculty and students’ use of the tools.

Assistant Professor Position - Department of Art and Art History Chico
The Art and Art History Department in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at California State University, Chico is seeking an Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture beginning Fall 2025. The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a terminal degree (MFA, MArch, MIArch, PhD, or equivalent) in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Candidates nearing completion of the terminal degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than the start date of the position. Significant professional experience and a proven record of, or potential for, creative scholarship and university-level teaching. Familiarity with contemporary issues in design and architecture. Commitment to fostering a cross-cultural learning environment. NCIDQ certification, or willingness to obtain. Willingness to teach a broad range of courses in design theory and practice, e.g. sustainable design, materiality, digital design tools (such as CAD, BIM) and fabrication, building systems, building codes, and interior design history in a studio-based learning setting. Familiarity with CIDA accreditation standards and preparation.
