Academic Advisors (SSP II) educate, assist, support, and advise students towards a timely graduation. These positions work directly with students. These positions advise on GE/GR courses, provide mandatory advising before registration, help to understand university’s policies and procedures, educate students on raising their GPAs, and retain students.

The successful candidate will teach up to 15 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, with assignments being consistent with the candidate’s expertise and training, as well as the specific needs of the Department. Most of our instructional needs will be in introductory chemistry courses. In addition to classroom teaching, the candidate will be expected to hold office hours for students and perform the other normal duties associated with teaching. The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking an Assistant Director, Student Success Dashboard Data Scientist to devise and oversee the implementation of the research and data analytics strategy for the CSU Student Success Dashboard and related data-dashboard properties.
