Job/Department Summary:

Under the lead of the Faculty Affairs Recruitment and Process Implementation Specialist and under the general direction of the Director of Faculty Affairs and Success, the incumbent is responsible for processing and compiling of sensitive workload data related to collective bargaining for Unit 3 and Unit 11 as well as faculty RTP. The incumbent will work both independently and collaboratively and is a liaison between Faculty Affairs and the academic departments/units on faculty workload and RTP. The incumbent provides support to the all of the academic Administrative Analyst/Specialists (AA/S's) and Academic Administrative Support Coordinators (ASCs), directing, training, and providing expert and technical guidance on workload and RTP to ensure compliance with all operational Faculty Affairs-related policies, procedures, and agreements.

Working independently, under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for:
* Coordinating reporting accurate and timely faculty workload. Review and work with Academic Scheduling and DoIT to ensure accuracy of Academic Planning and Database (APDB) data reported to the Chancellor's Office, ensuring Chico State receives full credit and funding for facilities utilization and faculty workload;
* Reviewing the APDB report with Academic Scheduling and DoIT as mandated by the CO.
* Maintaining knowledge currency in University priorities and policies pertaining to the above functions; and
* Providing guidance, expert advice, training, and technical support to department, college, and unit schedulers, department chairs, deans and associate deans, academic programs, Academic Affairs space, Provost, Vice Provost, Institutional Research, and other constituents of the University as needed, for above functions, in collaboration with other assigned staff.
*Setting the retention, tenure and promotion schedule for probationary, tenured, and lecturer faculty,
* Continuing implementation of Interfolio for RTP faculty, set up college/department templates each year, gather committee lists, remind faculty under review, departments, committees, colleges, units, Vice Provost, and deans of deadlines,
* Oversee data and review schedules for all faculty, and
* Reporting final outcomes and track statistics for RTP.

Required Education and Experience:

The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and two years of full-time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. 

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Knowledge of CSU faculty policies, faculty CBA, FPPP, and student information/registration tools, e.g., PeopleSoft, Cognos, Insight, OneSolution, and CMS.
  • Experience working in an environment that includes both represented and non-represented employees, including exempt and non-exempt employees of a 501c3 auxiliary.
  • Knowledge of faculty workload and/or faculty RTP/evaluation processes and forms.

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm 

CSU Classification Salary Range:  $63,288 (Step 1) - $92,208 (Step 20) per year.
