Associate Director of Tribal Relations (Administrator I) Chico
Under general direction Director of Tribal Relations, the Tribal Relations Associate Director within the Office of Tribal Relations has oversight and responsibility for the development, management, assessment, and growth of success initiatives related to the Office of Tribal Relations. The Associate Director also performs a wide variety of professional student services work by utilizing a combination of high-level interpersonal skills and personal student conduct. Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, the Application Support Specialist is responsible for development, implementation, integration, maintenance, and training for new and existing technology applications and solutions, including third party applications/add-ons that provide business operations functions, data reporting, website maintenance, schedule building and course registration. This position works closely with functional partners in the Police Department and Facilities Management departments, as well as technical staff in Enterprise Applications, to provide day-to-day support of system related tasks and participate in long-term planning and strategies for system improvement and adoption. Dean of Meriam Library (Administrator IV) REVISED Chico
The Dean of Meriam Library serves as chief academic and administrative officer for the library, acting as its voice representing the University locally, state-wide, and nationally. The dean will cultivate a library environment that is welcoming, aesthetically pleasing, and vibrant, providing learning environments and emerging technologies to support independent learning, group collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship for all patrons. The dean is responsible for planning and implementing initiatives for the library alongside overseeing the full range of day-to-day operations and services of all library departments. In addition, the dean serves an important role in working together with the community in developing a long-term vision for the library through expanding information literacy and outreach across the University and the North State. The dean promotes the library as a center of campus intellectual pursuits and the celebration of scholarly achievements. The dean will further need to consider perspectives of campus stakeholders while working cooperatively across units to advance positive and productive relationships. Some duties of the position include: developing policies and procedures to ensure effective operations; ensuring compliance with contractual agreements; reviewing, approving, and monitoring the library’s budget; providing leadership and managing personnel activities of the library staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating the work of assigned staff in accordance with contractual agreements; and delivering programs for the benefit of students, staff, faculty, and community members.
