The College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management (ECC) Student Success Center (ESSC) is looking for someone who loves to advise, coordinate, and help with student success. The ESSC is a vibrant collaborative team that works closely with college leadership, chairs, faculty, and students to guide future grads in realizing their potential and to reach their goals. SSP 1B, under the direct supervision of the Director of the ESSC, will perform professional student services related to academic advising, student success, and retention. Responsibilities include direct academic advising for majors within the College of ECC, targeted outreach to students within specific populations. Advisors help students develop intentional decision-making skills and strategies for academic success. SSP II, under general supervision of the Director of the ESSC, will perform moderately complex professional student services related to academic advising, student success, and retention. Responsibilities include providing information and guidance to students; assisting students to think through problems and select suitable solutions and courses of action; evaluating student needs and authorizing services; coordinating and administering programs, events, and projects; facilitating student involvement in campus life; advocating the needs of individual students and groups of students to university administrators, faculty and staff; and providing support and assistance to students facing a variety of personal as well as institutional problems, questions and challenges. Both positions will work collaboratively, across divisions, to support institutional and college-level academic equity efforts by monitoring academic progress for historically-undeserved student groups, while utilizing evidence-based best practices to strengthen retention and success.

Application Support Specialist (Information Technology Consultant-Career) REPOSTED Chico
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, the Application Support Specialist is responsible for development, implementation, integration, maintenance, and training for new and existing technology applications and solutions, including third party applications/add-ons that provide business operations functions, data reporting, website maintenance, schedule building and course registration. This position works closely with functional partners in the Police Department and Facilities Management departments, as well as technical staff in Enterprise Applications, to provide day-to-day support of system related tasks and participate in long-term planning and strategies for system improvement and adoption. The incumbent will also develop business process guides and documentation; customize workflows, forms, fields, modules, views, reports, and dashboards; and participate in developing training programs and provide that training to end users. * This incumbent is required to be on call to support the University Police Department in the event of after-hours technical issues.
Registration and Customer Service (Administrative Support Assistant II) Chico

Dean of Meriam Library (Administrator IV) REVISED Chico
The Dean of Meriam Library serves as chief academic and administrative officer for the library, acting as its voice representing the University locally, state-wide, and nationally. The dean will cultivate a library environment that is welcoming, aesthetically pleasing, and vibrant, providing learning environments and emerging technologies to support independent learning, group collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship for all patrons. The dean is responsible for planning and implementing initiatives for the library alongside overseeing the full range of day-to-day operations and services of all library departments. In addition, the dean serves an important role in working together with the community in developing a long-term vision for the library through expanding information literacy and outreach across the University and the North State. The dean promotes the library as a center of campus intellectual pursuits and the celebration of scholarly achievements. The dean will further need to consider perspectives of campus stakeholders while working cooperatively across units to advance positive and productive relationships. Groundsworker Chico
Under immediate supervision of the Lead Groundsworker or Supervisor, and occasional direction of the Grounds Manager, the Groundsworker performs general gardening work and maintains the grounds in assigned areas of campus. FMS is a large, complex department consisting of approximately 200 employees working various shifts and providing diverse administrative and operational services campus wide.
Irrigation Specialist Chico
Under general supervision, the Irrigation Specialist maintains and repairs grounds irrigation systems including modification of existing systems and the planning, cost estimating, and installation of new systems. The Irrigation Specialist performs specialized work on irrigation systems in grounds areas for a major portion of the incumbent’s work time. Incumbents in the Groundsworker classification or other grounds classifications may maintain sprinkler heads, make minor repairs to sprinkler lines, set clocks on automatic control devices in an assigned area of the campus on an occasional basis, and occasionally assist an Irrigation Specialist in specialized irrigation system maintenance work. Under minimal direction, the Administrative Analyst/Specialist is responsible for a variety of administrative and analytical duties and provides administrative support to the Associate Vice President Enrollment Management (EM) and units within EM, consisting of Enrollment Management central office, Financial Aid and Scholarship Office, Office of Admissions, and Office of the Registrar.
