Police Officer Chico

Transfer Advisor (Student Services Professional II) Chico
Working under the general direction of the Associate Director of Admissions Operations & Technology, incumbent performs moderately complex professional student service work, applying both knowledge and judgment to independently resolve problems and accomplish tasks, often after researching information. Utilizing a combination of high-level interpersonal skills and personal student contact, Transfer Advisors process transfer applications and determine eligibility for admission, evaluate transferable credit from other institutions and advise prospective students, applicants, and interested parties about undergraduate admissions requirements, deadlines, and university programs. Incumbent will also travel to local community colleges monthly to meet with prospective students, as well as coordinate and advise students who take part in the Transfer Success Program which creates a pipeline for community college students to transfer successfully to Chico State.
Director of Annual Giving (Administrator I) Chico
The Director of Annual Giving reports to the Associate Vice President for Advancement Services and plays a crucial role in advancing the university’s mission. The director is responsible for day-to-day management of the university’s annual giving program, including direct mail, social media and other electronic solicitations and communications. This position is a critical part of the fundraising ensures that the university is achieving its goals for annual giving dollars raised, constituent participation rates, donor retention, sustaining support, and donor stewardship. The Director of Annual Giving manage an existing comprehensive, robust, and contemporary annual giving program that annually raises in excess of $1.5 million and has great opportunities for growth. Other components of the annual giving program include; close collaboration and coordination with Development Officers for college and program level annual giving appeals, as well as targeted strategies for faculty/staff donors making annual gifts under $5,000. This position plays a lead role in planning and implementing Giving Day and targeted crowdfunding campaigns.

Assistant Professor of Hydrology Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences Chico
The Earth and Environmental Sciences Department in the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, Chico is seeking an Assistant Tenure-Track Professor in Hydrology beginning August 2025. Building Service Engineer Chico
Working independently, under general supervision, Building Service Engineers perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, water systems and auxiliary equipment. Incumbent will operate, test, adjust, and calibrate, boiler, air conditioning machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or microprocessor control instruments. Building Service Engineers monitor building systems data, adjust systems accordingly and respond to service requests to adjust airflow, temperature and humidity balances for individual rooms, building areas or buildings. The duties include testing and chemically treating boiler, condenser, and cooling tower water and water from other systems, as well as maintenance, inspection, diagnoses and emergency repairs for systems. Building Service Engineers may need to solder, braze or weld pipe in underground vaults or in mechanical rooms. Incumbent will regularly use features of building automation systems to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the HVAC systems and adjust to optimize energy conservation, and may maintain logs of maintenance and repairs, using manual and computerized record-keeping systems, and provide instruction and/or work with semi-skilled or unskilled assistants. Duties also include swimming pool maintenance, and work on bearings, shafts, seals, rings and electrical wiring and installation of central system parts, gages, valves and pipes. This position requires the application of journey-level skills in one or more of the applicable trades.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities (SRR), the Student Conduct Administrator & Student Rights & Responsibilities investigations for incidents involving students, facilitates student complaints, adjudicates student disciplinary referrals involving violations of Title 5, California Code of Education, and assists the Director in developing policies and procedures. Residence Conduct Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) Chico
The Residence Conduct Coordinator (RCC) staff are responsible for the daily functions of a student conduct curriculum and policy accountability. RCCs will meet with students who have violated a University Housing policy outlined in the "University Housing Policy Guide." Day-to-day work is performed independently, however incumbent also serves as a member of the Residence Life team comprised of the Associate Director for Residence Life, five Residence Conduct Coordinators (RCC), five Residence Life Coordinators (RLC), the Senior Coordinator for Leadership and Development, Senior Coordinator for Conduct and Compliance, and Hub Program Coordinator. CSU, Chico has an on-campus student housing population of 2,400. The RCC's primary responsibility is adjudicating conduct cases; additionally they provide conduct related programming, customer service, resource referrals, and crisis response. Incumbents deal with complex, sensitive situations, and must use sound professional judgment and successful counseling techniques to effectively interact with college students. This position also co-supervises 6-18 Resident Advisors. This is a live-in position that emphasizes student development as well as community management. The Residence Life staff is on-call 24 hours a day, however, actual working time is varied and flexible and opportunity for adequate time off is available. May include late night, early morning, and weekend commitments as situations dictate/require.
