    • Position Summary
    • Two temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant position in President's Office.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after October 1, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Greet visitors promptly and professionally and handle front-line communication.
      • Answer phones, take accurate messages, and direct calls as needed.
      • Sort incoming mail and make on-campus deliveries.
      • Assist with data entry, filing, and clerical tasks such as organizing and creating binders.
      • Manage scheduling for the President’s Office conference room.
      • Provide basic clerical support to the Director of Presidential Initiatives, Director of Administrative Operations, and the Presidential Aide.
      • Prepare, track, and submit necessary forms.
      • Draft and proofread correspondence.
      • Assist with research projects.
      • Troubleshoot basic technology issues (photocopiers, printers, iPads, computers).
      • Maintain the organization of office spaces.
      • Help plan and support campus events.
      • Order office supplies and materials as needed.
      • Assist with President’s Office events by designing fliers, creating presentations, and helping with room setup.
      • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

         

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates basic clerical experience or coursework (data entry, filing, and organization).
      • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
      • Demonstrates basic technology troubleshooting skills (photocopiers, printers, iPads, computers).
      • Demonstrates familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Outlook calendar or similar platforms).
      • Demonstrates experience in event planning and coordination.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
      • Available to work during summer, winter, and spring breaks.
      • Available to work a minimum of a 4-hour time block.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

    • $16.00 per hour
