Major Duties
Under general supervision, the CCTV & Security Systems Support Specialist supports campus safety by assisting with CCTV system monitoring, installation, maintenance, and IT coordination. Provides technical support, contributes to infrastructure projects, and ensures systems remain operational, secure, and aligned with departmental and compliance standards.
- Monitors the daily performance of all campus security cameras connected to the Milestone operating program.
- Retrieves and provides video data to support investigations and incident reports, as appropriate.
- Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance of all CCTV equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Diagnoses and resolves technical issues, including camera outages, image quality problems, connectivity failures, and system alerts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of CCTV systems, video management platforms, and security infrastructure.
- Ability to apply strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for technical issue resolution.
- Ability to communicates effectively with IT staff, vendors, and law enforcement personnel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and responds effectively in time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail when handling sensitive data and video evidence.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- Classification: 0482 / Technology Support Speclst III / Grade 1
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE is $ 6492 – $ 7311 per month, dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is $6492 - $9458 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
