Lead Custodian Chico
Under general supervision, the Lead Custodian provides leadership in all facets of the cleaning operation for University Housing giving work direction and training for the custodial staff and student employee staff in this department. Working independently and/or as part of a team, the incumbent is responsible for providing general cleaning and custodial care and support, performing their duties in their specific assigned work area and in other work areas as needed. Work areas are located within buildings, facilities, structures, public areas, patios, entryways and workshops, adjacent areas and/or portions thereof, but are not limited to these areas. The essential functions and responsibilities listed in this position description are typical work activities and the general range of work functions performed by Lead Custodians, they are not an all-inclusive or restrictive list of custodial-related work. Groundsworker Chico
Under immediate supervision of the Lead Groundsworker and occasional direction of the Manager of Custodial & Grounds, the Groundsworker performs general gardening work and maintains the grounds in assigned areas of campus. University Housing (UH) is a complex department consisting of approximately 60 employees working various shifts and providing diverse administrative and operational services across 6 residential halls and a 25 building apartment community.
Executive Outreach Manager (Administrator I) Chico
Reporting to the AVP, the Executive Outreach Manager is responsible for identification of and outreach to alumni, foundation and corporate executives and initiating relationships that support philanthropic giving to the university. The incumbent is responsible for assessing new donor prospects for giving capacity, affinity, and inclination to support the university. After originating contact with new donor prospects the outreach officer will facilitate meetings with an appropriate regional officer. The incumbent will participate as a member of the University Advancement Division in the execution of a comprehensive development program with a particular focus on new prospect identification and engagement and managing a small portfolio of donors. Additionally, the Regional Outreach and Development Manager will provide support to a team of regional development professionals by securing meeting appointments with prospects in their region and providing logistical management.
Administrative Support (Administrative Support Coordinator I - 11/12) Chico
The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance is a large and complex unit with a large number of faculty, and administrative, technical, and theatre production staff. Under general supervision, incumbent will provide administrative support to the Chair, Administrative Support Coordinator II (ASC II), and staff. Day-to-day work is performed independently under general supervision and includes using various database and software applications to perform clerical and bookkeeping duties, coordinate staff and faculty schedules and department activities, provide reception services and contribute to the efficient operation of the department.

Executive Director, Intercollegiate Athletics (Administrator III) Chico
The Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for the leadership, oversight and daily management of the Chico State competitive NCAA Division II intercollegiate Athletic program. Includes setting a vision for the program that aligns with campus values and priorities as well as the values and priorities of NCAA Division II. Serve as the primary administrator for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Registration and Public Service Specialist (Administrative Support Assistant II) - On-Campus Only Chico
Under general instruction, incumbent will staff the front counter/public service area for Office of the Registrar which is located in the main lobby of the Student Services Center. Will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the department, will serve a large and varied population of students, staff, faculty, parents and campus visitors, and is responsible for Records and Registration processing. Day-to-day work is performed relatively independently with general instructions except for new assignments. The Office of the Registrar is comprised of Articulation, Degree Audit Programming, Graduation Advising, Student Records and Registration, and Veterans Affairs. The office serves as the point of contact for campus staff, faculty, students, and outside agencies on questions related to the student information system operation and the student academic record. Athletic Trainer II Chico

Basic Needs Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) Chico
Working independently, under general direction of the Basic Needs Director, the Basic Needs Coordinator is a position within Basic Needs, in the Division of Student Affairs. The Coordinator works with students that are experiencing poverty and the complex student situations that surround those who lack basic needs, the most significant barrier to academic success. The Coordinator collaboratively facilitates the safe, day-to-day operations of the Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry and pro-actively assists in the coordination of other related department, safety, grant and partnership programs. The Coordinator creates and develops a sustainable community of students, staff, parents, alumni, volunteers, agencies, groups, businesses, institutions and foundations in support of the operations of the Pantry and the development of case managed services for wellness, retention and the graduation of students. This work includes analysis of needs, and the use of planning, interviewing and counseling techniques. The Coordinator will compile reports and analyze data in conjunction with the Basic Needs Director to improve programming and services. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for recognizing specific program needs and for collaborating with campus and community service agencies to develop recommendations and implement program services for improving student engagement and success. Lead Plumber Chico
Under general supervision, the Lead Plumber works with and is in charge of a small group or crew of skilled Plumbers and semi-skilled assistants involved in completing the work outlined in CSU Classification and Qualification Standards (Standard) for the Plumber classification series. In addition to Plumber duties, the Lead Plumber has the additional responsibilities of providing lead work direction to several journey-level crafts workers and semi-skilled assistants, laying out and coordinating the work flow for jobs, and preparing materials lists and ordering supplies for jobs. This position spends the majority of time working as a skilled plumber, but has ancillary lead work and project planning responsibilities.
Lead Building Service Engineer Chico
Working independently, under general supervision, the Lead Building Service Engineer provides leadership in all facets to the Building Services Engineer(s) and Refrigeration Mechanic(s); giving work direction and training for the BSE/Refrigeration Mechanic staff and student employee staff, including the installation, operation, preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical systems related to heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, energy management, electronic controls, power, water and sewer systems and equipment as related to HVAC and/or Mechanical systems throughout University Housing. The Lead BSE is distinguished by the additional responsibilities of providing lead work direction to multiple and diverse journey-level crafts workers and semiskilled assistants, laying out and coordinating the work flow for jobs, and preparing materials lists and ordering supplies for jobs. The Lead BSE spends the majority of time working as a Building Service Engineer or in related HVAC trade while performing lead work coordination and project planning responsibilities for a work crew and typically is not overseeing the work of multiple work crews.
Building Service Engineer Chico
Working independently, under general supervision, Building Service Engineers perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, water systems and auxiliary equipment. Incumbent will operate, test, adjust, and calibrate, boiler, air conditioning machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or microprocessor control instruments. Building Service Engineers monitor building systems data, adjust systems accordingly and respond to service requests to adjust airflow, temperature and humidity balances for individual rooms, building areas or buildings. The duties include testing and chemically treating boiler, condenser, and cooling tower water and water from other systems, as well as maintenance, inspection, diagnoses and emergency repairs for systems. Building Service Engineers may need to solder, braze or weld pipe in underground vaults or in mechanical rooms. Incumbent will regularly use features of building automation systems to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the HVAC systems and adjust to optimize energy conservation, and may maintain logs of maintenance and repairs, using manual and computerized record-keeping systems, and provide instruction and/or work with semi-skilled or unskilled assistants. Duties also include swimming pool maintenance, and work on bearings, shafts, seals, rings and electrical wiring and installation of central system parts, gages, valves and pipes. This position requires the application of journey-level skills in one or more of the applicable trades. Incumbents are expected to rotate through various shift assignments at the central plant to fill in for Operating Engineers on a relief basis as needed.
Residence Life Coordinator (Student Services Professional II) Chico
The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) staff are responsible for broad residential community oversight, educational programming, and facilities management. Day-to-day work is performed independently, however incumbent also serves as a member of the Residence Life team comprised of the Associate Director for Residence Life, five Residence Conduct Coordinator (RCC) staff, five RLC staff, the Senior Coordinator for Leadership and Development, the Senior Coordinator for Conduct and Compliance and the Hub Program Coordinator. CSU, Chico has an on campus student housing population of approximately 2,200 students. RLCs provide educational programs, customer service, counseling referrals, and crisis response. Incumbents deal with complex, sensitive situations, incumbent must use sound professional judgment and successful counseling techniques to effectively interact with college-age students. The RLC position co-supervises 6-18 Resident Advisors assigned to a given community. They also directly supervise the students employed at service desks. Additionally, the RLC position has overall advisory and leadership responsibility for Community Council.
