Role Description:

The Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting application materials for a Museum Assistant. 

Description of Duties: 9 hours a week; plan and assist with tours and other public programming; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite/Canva/Instagram. Assist in the design flyers for events.

Minimum Qualifications: must be a student interested in museums and have taken some Museum Studies or Cultural ANTH classes. Must have some availability during the Museum's hours of operation 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday, and the first Saturday of the month. 

Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

Additional Information:

All work must be performed within the State of California.

Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
