Job/Department Summary:
Under general supervision of the Manager, University Budget, incumbent performs a variety of budget related assignments supporting the University Budget office. Working independently, incumbent maintains budget information using integrated financial systems and/or other type of records management systems; compiles financial information; prepares financial projections, generates resource reports by creating and maintaining spreadsheets and data bases; computes and posts financial transactions; performs financial analysis; monitors and reconciles fund/account balances; prepares fund allocations; provides technical budget assistance to campus community; identifies process issues and provides input on system and process improvements; assists with the implementation and evaluation of new or revised processes and procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
AND
Two years of relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in finance or accounting
- Advance use and experience with MS Excel creating complex spreadsheets for large data sets
- Experience with the creation of ad hoc data queries and analysis
- Experience delivering financial presentations and training

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm
CSU Classification Salary Range: $62,136 - $90,516 per year.
